Meet the DBC Bray Team:
LIAM:
Liam is the founder of DBC Chartered Physiotherapy, and is one of Ireland’s most experienced back and neck rehabilitation specialists. He holds a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine from Trinity College Dublin, as well as his undergraduate Physiotherapy Degree from Satakunnan University in Finland. He continues to practice 1 day per week at our original clinic at Ashleaf in Dublin 12. The remainder of the time he is based across Bray and our Midlands Clinics.
Annually, he sees over 250 cases of back and neck pain; the majority of whom are complex cases or long term sufferers with the condition. Most patients are seen following referral from their Consultant (Spinal Orthopaedic / Neurosurgeon / Rheumatologist), and rehabilitation programs form part of a wider management of their back or neck pain which often includes pain management injections. He also specialises in neck injuries and rehabilitation in elite and professional rugby.
His keen interest in biomechanics is the driving force behind his continued involvement in both elite and recreational sport with a focus on complex overuse injuries.
STEPHEN:
Stephen’s previous experience in sport led him to work with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nike Academy, the PFA Inpatient Rehab in St George’s Park. More recently Stephen has worked with the Irish Women’s Hockey team during European Championships, World Cups and Olympic cycles. Now Stephen leads the new state of the art Bray Clinic where he sees both athletic rehabilitation cases alongside more chronic spinal issues.
